From 8 December 2009.

On 8 December 2009, the European Medicines Agency has officially launched its new visual identity, comprising a new logo, new colour chart, new typography and rebranded materials based on these elements.
The new visual identity is a “part of a wider effort to improve the quality and consistency
of our communications with partners, stakeholders and the public. The main benefit is that our communications materials will now be based on professionally designed templates, and have a more
harmonised look and feel than our current materials”, writes the Agency in its press release on London, 30 November 2009 (Doc. ref.: EMEA/747665/2009). While all are familiar with the logo EMEA, somebody is getting confused with the ‘Europe, Middle East and Africa’ that is a sovracontinental region of business activities in many institutions.
From that date onwards, the address of the Agency public website will be www.ema.europa.eu and the e-mail addresses will take the form This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
On that day the new structure and allocation of responsibilities were made public.
